03.16 | Carrie-Marie.net Hiatus
Hello everyone!
Unfortunately Carrie-Marie.net will be closing for a while. I’m not sure how long right now, but I’ll definitely let everyone know when that time comes! I’m thinking a month or so.
Years ago when I decided to create a website dedicated to Carrie, I always wanted it to be something that met my high standards, that I was proud of myself for. That is not true for the site right now, so I need some time to start fresh and get things together. Shortly I will be taking applications to find a wonderful site staff, to aid in my goal as becoming the biggest, most successful, and most updated Carrie site out there. It will take some work, but I’m up for the task. Please be sure to follow our twitter account to be kept up to date.
After we get past this hiatus, I promise we’ll be back 100%, bigger and better than ever! Thank you so much for your continued support – it means alot! I know I haven’t been the best at keeping the site updated, which is why I want to take a break to get everything put back together so I’ll be completely caught up.
The site WILL remain open while on hiatus, so please feel free to browse as you wish.
Thank you so much for understanding!
xoxo,
Kati & the rest of the staff

01.16 | Carrie Underwood’s “Two Black Cadillacs” Music Video To World Premiere On Entertainment Tonight and VEVO Wednesday, January 23
19 Recordings/Arista Nashville recording artist Carrie Underwood’s latest music video, “Two Black Cadillacs,” will make its broadcast and online debut on Entertainment Tonight and VEVO on Wednesday, January 23. Immediately following ET’s “Two Black Cadillacs” premiere feature, the music video may be viewed on VEVO.com, VEVO mobile apps as well as ET Online. Entertainment Tonight will reveal exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the set of Underwood’s video shoot (check local listings for airtime).
Directed by P.R. Brown and produced by Steve Lamar for LAMAR BROTHERS, the dramatic thriller “Two Black Cadillacs” was filmed in the Nashville area. The single is already an airplay hit as it races up country charts, and is currently #11 in Country Aircheck and #13 in Billboard. “Two Black Cadillacs” was written by Underwood, Josh Kear and Hillary Lindsey, and is the third release from Carrie’s platinum-selling Blown Away album.
Chill and thrill seekers can watch the trailer of “Two Black Cadillacs” now at Carrie’s homepage at www.carrieunderwoodofficial.com or www.youtube.com
Blown Away made history this spring by debuting at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums Chart, making Carrie only the second country artist in the 47-year history of the chart to have each of their first four albums debut at No. 1. Blown Away also debuted at No. 1 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart, making Carrie only the second country artist in history to have three consecutive albums debut at No. 1.
Since releasing her debut, Some Hearts, in 2005, Carrie has sold more than 15 million albums with Some Hearts, 2007’s Carnival Ride, 2009’s Play On, and 2012′s Blown Away, making her the best-selling American Idol in the U.S. She’s accumulated 16 No. 1 singles, seven of which she co-wrote, and became the first country artist in history and the only American Idol winner ever to achieve 10 No. 1 singles from their first two albums. She is a five-time GRAMMY winner, a two-time Academy of Country Music Entertainer of the Year, a three-time Country Music Association and ACM Female Vocalist winner, and a proud member of the Grand Ole Opry.

11.20 | Carrie Underwood On ‘Nashville’: ‘We’re Not That Scandalous’
Carrie Underwood joined Taylor Swift as the two Nashville representatives performing on last night’s American Music Awards. Before the show Underwood told Rolling Stone she sees herself as an ambassador of the city’s music scene.
“I definitely want to represent our genre as best as I can,” she said. “And I want people to say, ‘Oh, that’s what I’ve been missing – I will listen more.’”
People certainly are paying more attention to Music City right now, thanks to the hit ABC show that carries the name of country music’s home. Underwood is a fan: “I feel like the show represents our town really well,” she said. “I love watching the show because I’m like, ‘I eat there.’”
While she is a fan, she hopes people realize the series takes some dramatic license to make for better TV. “I hope they don’t think all the ladies of country music are that scandalous, because I promise you we’re not,” she said, laughing. “I hope people don’t think it’s all backstabbing and everybody sleeping with everybody else. That’s really not [the case], at least to my knowledge. There might be all kinds of stuff going on that I don’t know about, but not in my world. People really are pretty open and friendly and normal.”
Underwood might have some acting in her future. Though vague on the subject, she promises there’s something very different in line for her in the new year. It’s “something really different that would be out of my comfort zone, a really wonderful thing to put on my ‘I did that’ list,” she said.
Before that she will spend time doing much more familiar activity, touring, with another 40 dates added to her spring 2013 itinerary. It makes for a lot of time on the road, but for Underwood it’s fine – it means people are interested. “Everything is going extremely well so far for the next leg. It’s exciting.”
Perhaps there will be some more duets in her future as well. She has performed in the past with Stevie Wonder and Tony Bennett, among others, and she just recorded “Can’t Stop Loving You” with Aerosmith. They’ve all been learning experiences for the country superstar.
“I grew up listening to Aerosmith. I love Tony Bennett. I’ve always loved Brad Paisley. I love Stevie Wonder, of course – who doesn’t?” she said. “So getting those opportunities to meet and talk with people and collaborate, even if it’s just on a little event like I did with Stevie and Tony last year, it’s amazing. And I feel really lucky, because I feel like I can hang with all those people and I don’t feel like, ‘Oh, I only sing country music.’ That’s my heart, that’s my home, but I like to do something different and unexpected and learn from them, because they are the masters.”

08.29 | Tour updates! – via The Country Vibe
Carrie Underwood Promises Big Show, Dramatic Costume Changes and Duet with Hunter Hayes on Tour
Carrie Underwood celebrated her #1 song, “Good Girl,” with a party yesterday at the CMA building in Nashville. Before the party she talked about her upcoming Blown Away Tour and how she is just as excited as the fans to see what it’s all going to look like when it’s set up and ready to go. “We are in rehearsals this week, doing all of our music rehearsals, making sure everything’s perfect and after that going to start our production rehearsals,” said Carrie. “And I can’t wait to see everything myself cause I’ve seen so many computer renderings and stuff like that, and I’ve seen video content on my computer, so I cannot wait to actually get in there and see how everything’s gonna look and see all the moving parts.” Carrie has said in the past that the tour would probably involve drama and some big production and she told us, “We definitely tried really hard to just make everything a really great story and there’s a lot of toys to play with. That’s some great technology out there now and we’re able to utilize that and make a really big show.”
Of course, costume changes will be a big part of Carrie’s show and they’re also what will help keep things fresh for fans who may be planning to see it more than once. Carrie says the Blown Away Tour will involve “a lot of very dramatic costumes and no two shows will be exactly the same as far as what I wear and when I wear it. I like to have options.”
Hunter Hayes will open for Carrie on The Blown Away Tour and she says they definitely have plans to sing something together during each show but they haven’t quite worked out the details of that yet. “That is the plan, yeah. We haven’t actually tried anything yet, of course we’ll have to get in there and see what we can do, but surely we’ll figure out something,” she laughed. “We’re both talented individuals so we’ll find some way to sing together and perform together.” They have 16 days to figure something out before the start of the tour on September 14th in Manchester, NH.

08.17 | Carrie Underwood: Mike Fisher “Loves Me and All of My Craziness!”
To celebrate the success of her album Blown Away, Carrie Underwood and her husband, Mike Fisher, spent July 24 unwinding at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Lake Buena Vista, Florida.
“Because we are so busy, we make our time together count,” the singer, 29, tells Us Weekly of her NHL player love, 32. “We go on dates and make sure to make that extra effort.”
When one of them is on the road, “We will text and tweet ‘I love you’ every day,” Underwood shares.
And after two years of marriage — the happy couple made it official during a ceremony in Georgia in July 2010 — she says she still feels lucky. “Married life is wonderful. I couldn’t ask for a better husband and best friend,” Underwood says.
Adds the Oklahoma native, “I never thought guys like Mike actually existed! He loves me and all of my craziness!”
